The Meraki-X Mission:
I founded Meraki-X to share my creative escapes and passion with the world. On this journey, when a number of people, young and old, all over the world, reached out to me, requesting me to demonstrate how I design and create cards with origami and dried pressed flowers from my garden and how I create perfectly baked macarons with unique flavors, I realized that Meraki-X can and should include the joy giving back to the world. Through Meraki-X, I have made amazing friendships with people spread all over the world. In my conversations with them, I have learned about the myriad of personal experiences, perspectives, desires, and unique circumstances that arise from differences in culture, talent, location, and religion, but the common underlying theme is always one of passion and sharing.
It was amazing to see how the very values that my school, Presentation High School, espouses started blooming in my life. Presentation encourages students and faculty to live by the impactful motto, “Not Words, But Deeds.” I became very excited about bringing a talented and passionate community together to tap our collective creativity to give back to meaningful causes. I have had an amazingly magical experience doing projects I love and how, through the latter, I could contribute to causes that are close to my heart – that of helping senior citizens and underprivileged children. For the first time, I have felt the joy of helping society by doing things I truly enjoy–“For it is in giving that we receive.” (St. Francis of Assisi)
The Meraki-X mission is to help people discover their “meraki” and bring them together to deliver and experience the joy of kindness through one’s passion.
