Time to share with you all my new handmade card design that I recently launched for Cards by G. This is one of my most favorite cards. I love flowers and I incorporate them in every single way. However, this time I did something different.
I picked fresh flowers from my garden and arranged them neatly on a piece of parchment paper. I then put this under a bunch of books to add weight. I let it stay undisturbed for a couple days. Afterwards, I took it out and the flowers ended up being wonderfully preserved and dried. And now, they are ready to be put on anything.
These embellishments are beautiful, timeless, and classy. Most importantly, they are so inexpensive. I just picked the flowers from my garden. You can create just about anything with them. For example, you can make postcards with an inspiring sentiment or maybe stick these flowers on a picture frame and gift it for occasions, like a house warming. These dried flowers are perfect to use for any gift or card!!
What you will need for these cards?
Dried pressed flowers
Card stock (I have used brown and white)
Glue
Stamps or pens (to handwrite the sentiment)
Ink (for the stamps)
Gold metallic paint
I have used the gold acrylic paint for a drip effect on one card and a border in another. I do that first and let it dry. Then, I use glue to paste the dried flowers on the card. Lastly, I use the stamps and ink to put the messages “Love” or “Thank You” on the card. If you do not have any stamps, then you can use a pen to handwrite it instead. You can put your heart-felt and handwritten messages inside as well.
