Madelienes

This super easy vanilla Madeleine recipe makes perfect madeleines. Afetr you try this recipe, you will never buy madeleines from store.

Ingredients
  

For the Madeleines
  • 2 Standard Eggs
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 1/3 cup Sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1/2 cup All Purpose Flour
For the Candy Melt Frosting
  • 1/3 cup Pink candy melts ( I used Wilton)
  • 1/4 cup Sprinkles

Method
 

  1. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees F
  2. Grease the madeleine mold with butter.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat eggs, sugar and vanilla together for a good 8-10 minutes. Sift flour and salt together.
  4. Now add the flour to the egg mixture little at a time and mix it all in gently.
  5. Pour in the melted room temperature butter and fold it in.
  6. Pour in the molds and bake for 8-10 minutes.Take out and allow to cool.
For the Frosting
  1. Take the candy melts in a ceramic bowl and melt in the microwave for 30 secs at a time. Take out stir and put it back. I needed to do it for 90 secs in total.
  2. Once melted, dip the madeleines at an angle in the candy melt and then dip it in sprinkles.
  3. Let it cool and get firm. Place the madeleines in the fridge for 10 mins to help the process.
  4. The madeleines are now ready to be served.

Notes

You will need a Madeleine mold for this recipe.
